PushBack Endorses John Joyce for PA 13th

Rep. John Joyce

When Dr. John Joyce won the eight-candidate GOP congressional primary in 2018 with a meager 22% of the vote, some of us figured he would be just another corporate lackey in Congress. We were wrong. The man thinks like a doctor, not a career politician. A deep dive into his congressional voting record reveals a quiet but unmistakable commitment to a conservative, America First agenda.

While unwelcome lobbying influence may still be at play, we’ve seen him vote the right way when his predecessor, Bill Shuster, would not have. To the relief of the district, there have been no obvious signs of the casual corruption of the past. He maintains frequent dialogue with populist-minded conservatives, especially in the religious community. PushBack differs with Joyce on some issues, notably transparency and natural resources. We would rather see him rise in a Republican administration than remain in Congress indefinitely. His record still earns our support. We’re voting Joyce.
